A little history......
July 2000                   The old Armour Building was donated to the museum by Jerry
                                   and Patricia Haynes.
                       
August 2000             The state of West Virginia certificate announced the incorporation
                                   of the Williamson Railroad Museum.                        

September 2000       Museum board members along with many volunteers come together
                                   to have a "clean-up day". They cleaned up the outer premises of the
                                   old Armour building.

October 2000            Museum board members take a trip to Roanoke, VA to visit the
                                    Virginia Museum of Transportation.

March 2001               Clayborne Dotson was awarded the prize for the  Williamson
                                   Railroad Museum's logo contest. Mr. Dotson was awarded a
                                   $100.00 prize for his artwork.

June 2001                  The Museum sponsored a model train show during the Hatfield
                                    McCoy Reunion.

August 2001              Region II planning and Rep. Nick J. Rahall lends their support
                                    for the museum.

February 2002          State Curator, James R. Mitchell, talks to the museum board
                                   members.

March 2002               The students of Williamson Middle School donate $200.00
                                   to the museum.

March 2002               The museum receives an award from the Collis P. Huntington
                                   Railroad Historical Society of Huntington.
